PRESS RELEASE
The way various religious & social organizations and Residents Welfare Associations have given their unstinted support and co-operation to Prof. Jagdish Mukhi, Sr. BJP leader and its candidate from the Janakpuri Assembly Constituency during his election campaign clearly shows the writing on the wall that once again he is all set to register his victory for the sixth time by a record margin of votes. The representatives and members of various bodies like Bahawalpur Biradari, Derawal Biradari, Multan Jot Sabha, Bengali Association Janak Puri, Dharmik and Samajik Mahasangh Janak Puri, Shiromani Akali Dal, Janak Puri Vyapar Mahasangh, Asalatpur Gaon Maha-Panchayat, Keshav Club, Brahamin Sena, Delhi Medical Association, Ram Ji Ram Mandir Samiti , Arya Samaj Road Vyapar Sangh, Aapsi Bhai Chara Samiti, Janak Puri Ram Leela Committee, North Delhi Punjabi Society, Goshia Masjid Sitapuri, P&T Colony Janak Puri, DESU Colony warmly welcomed Prof. Mukhi during his ‘Padyatras’ and public campaigns and assured him that they were committed to ensure his victory by a huge margin. They assured him that he would get each and every vote of these bodies, so that he would set up a new record of ‘win’ in the whole of Delhi.
Expressing his deep concern at the terrorist attacks in Mumbai during the last two days, Prof. Mukhi said that it was, indeed, a heart-rending tragedy, which was nothing but the natural outcome of the ‘soft’ policy of Congress Govt. on terrorism and scrapping of tough laws like POTA to combat it. Prof. Mukhi said that the fact that the terrorists could resort to such bomb blasts without the intelligence agencies getting any wind of it speaks volumes of the massive failure of the Congress Govt. to tackle this menace. While condemning terrorism in no uncertain terms, Prof. Mukhi paid glowing tributes to the gallant security personnel who had died fighting the terrorists. He appealed to the people of India, in general and those of Mumbai, in particular, to co-operate in maintaining peace and harmony in the country.
