New Delhi, BJP candidate from West Delhi Parliament Seat Prof। Jagdish Mukhi said that during the reign of last 10 years in Delhi, Congress has failed to open a single new college in Delhi। After a lapse of 60 years from the day of freedom the target of “Education for all” has yet to be achieved. It is a matter of regret that despite making toll promises the budget provision for education has not crossed 6% of the Central Budget, while the need for the same is much more. He said during the reign of BJP in Delhi all the attention was drawn on Higher Education. As a Higher Education Minister of Delhi he conceived the concept of Inderprastha University which is today known as Guru Gobind Singh Inderprastha University,



Prof. Mukhi said the issue of education is trailing behind in the Agenda of Political Parties; to bring it to forefront will be his first & foremost priority.

Prof. Mukhi said during this period of financial crisis the public on one hand is facing high price rise while on the other hand the arrear & steep hiked fees has worked as pouring oil on fire. They are not in a position to transfer their children in Govt. schools due to defective Govt. Policies. This is a burning example of inefficiency of present Congress Govt. of Delhi.

Prof. Mukhi further alleged that across the Pankha Road where large number of unauthorized colonies and villages are there, Govt. of NCT has ignored the area from Development point of view. Though in the name of Common Wealth Game Delhi Govt. is claiming all-around development of Delhi, but in this area no project relating to Common Wealth has been taken up though the above said area has given many known players like Cricketer Virender Sehwag and Bronze medalist Sushil Pehalwan. Despite this fact not a single stadium or project has been sanctioned in west Delhi in the name of Common Wealth Games. Prof. Mukhi alleged Delhi Govt. that if no game will held in any part of the state whether the development works will be stopped? He also alleged that in the name of Common Wealth the routing budget has also been shifted from the above said area.

Prof. Mukhi said after the election I will take up the development work in this area on the pattern of development being carried out on the pattern of South Delhi.
